Summer of 2025 marks the 25th anniversary of the FM4 FreQuency Festival, taking place from August 13 to 15 and promising unforgettable moments for all its visitors!
One of Europe’s biggest festivals, both in terms of artist participation and audience size, FM4 FreQuency is undoubtedly a massive music party in the beautiful city of Sankt Pölten, Austria!
Wednesday, August 13 – The American , Papa Roach rock band from Vacaville,California will take the stage!
Since 2001, the FM4 FreQuency Festival has welcomed some of the biggest names in international music, crossing all genres. Past performers include Sonic Youth, Metallica, Faithless, Arctic Monkeys, The Prodigy, R.E.M., Muse, Twenty One Pilots, Imagine Dragons, Parov Stelar, Vini Vici, Ed Sheeran, and many more!
August 14 – Nina Katrin Kaiser (born 14 October 1998), known professionally as Nina Chuba, German singer and actress will set the stage on fire at our favorite festival!
This summer, FM4 FreQuency Festival celebrates 25 years with an impressive lineup, dedicated to summer vibes and its 150,000 visitors. A few days ago, some of the major acts were announced, including Post Malone, Chappell Roan, Papa Roach, Central Cee, Scooter, Will Smith, Kygo, and many more!
August 15 – Get ready! Bonez MC German rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Bonez is a member of the German hip hop gang 187 Strassenbande,will hit the stage at Europe’s biggest party event, the FreQuency Festival in Austria!

Frequency 2024 – Report by Marlene Nimpfer
I still remember very well when my friends and I were out ice skating and first talked about the Frequency Festival 2024. We were just as excited as the year before, reminiscing about the funniest moments from 2023.
When the headliners were finally announced, we sat in a circle and listened to each artist’s songs one by one. That feeling of anticipation—for the warm nights and the amazing atmosphere—is indescribable.
Shortly before the festival, it was announced that an extra day would be added. As far as I recall, Ed Sheeran, Calum Scott, Tream, and David Kushner performed. When I heard the first Tream songs through my window, I felt disappointed that I hadn’t bought a ticket. From what others told me, the first day featured many great artists.
The Big Day!…
Finally, the day of the festival had arrived, and it was already late afternoon. We all got ready together at my place, listening to the songs that would be played that night.
Every time you walk through the camping area, there’s always something new to see: an inflatable pool where people are enjoying their drinks, or a big group playing beer pong in the Traisen River—nothing is missing!
Half of our group stayed at the campground. Sleeping there is definitely a different experience compared to going home at night. However, the campsite was well-organized, with showers, toilets, food stands, and bars. The prices were reasonable—of course, they could have been lower, but they weren’t outrageous.
Beyond the Music …
The festival isn’t just about music!
Silent Disco – Here, you can put on headphones and dance in silence. It’s always hilarious to take them off and hear others thinking they’re singing perfectly!
Rollschuhplatz (Roller Skating Area) – You can borrow skates for free and dance along to the music on wheels.
Bungee Jumping – For adrenaline lovers, there’s a bungee jumping tower, and the cost is €70 per person.
Riesenrad (Ferris Wheel) – If you prefer something more relaxing, hop on the observation wheel and enjoy a stunning bird’s-eye view of the entire festival!
The Grand Finale…
Those who last until the end are rewarded with a massive fireworks show at the Main Stage—the perfect way to close such an epic festival!
The music was incredibly diverse, catering to all tastes. My personal highlights were Ski Aggu, Cro, Rin, Yung Hurn, and Camo & Krooked. The first day didn’t excite me much, but the last two days were absolutely amazing.
Despite the rain and cold, the music never stopped, and the energy remained high. The best thing to do in a tough moment is to embrace the fun—if you don’t have a raincoat, just dance in the rain!
After the concerts, the party continues at Vaz, with techno beats for those who want to keep going until sunrise.
Flawless Organization
As a local resident, I witnessed firsthand how quickly the festival grounds were cleaned up. By the very next day, there was barely any trash left on the grass or in the Traisen River—truly impressive!
Frequency 2025 – Can’t Wait!…
If you’re looking for great music, endless fun, and, of course, a few beers, this festival is an absolute must!
For Frequency 2025, I expect the same amazing energy and crazy people who know how to create an unforgettable atmosphere. However, I hope the lineup will be even more special! The organizers always make great artist choices, but this time, I want to see something truly unique. I can’t wait to find out what they have in store for us!
