The Zsa Zsa Gabors… and Life’s Routine.

The Zsa Zsa Gabors, the dynamic and impressive punk rock band from Sankt Pölten of Austria, return in the year 2026 with their new amazing album ”Life’s Routine”, released by The Mad Butcher Records Germany.
Their latest work, recorded and produced under the authentic signature of their label, is a powerful reflection of modern life, technology, and human existence!
Recently, we witnessed striking audiovisual moments online with the release of the video clip for their impressive track ”A.I.”, which is also included in the album ”Life’s Routine”.
This was the reason we reached out to them, to talk about the inspiration behind the album, the powerful and striking ”A.I.”, and of course, their collaboration with Mad Butcher Records.
OCTOBER AFTERNOON in Sankt Pölten with Matthias Nimpfer and Harald Pristauschek .
The song titled ”A.I.”, which we enjoyed audiovisually on YouTube and which is included in the new album by The Zsa Zsa Gabors, was the reason we met one October afternoon in Sankt Pölten with the members of the band, Matthias Nimpfer and Harald Pristauschek .
Athenscalling.gr: Your new album ”Life’s Routine” reflects themes of modern life, technology, and human existence. What inspired you the most during the creation of this record?
Matthias Nimpfer(THE ZSA ZSA GABORS): In the last three years since our previous album GLOSS, we’ve spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room and written many new songs.
But we also always take time to discuss our problems and positive experiences surrounding family, work and politics.
And it’s precisely these everyday topics that have found their way into the songs.
How do I manage kids, school, cooking and work?
And how do I also find time to rehearse with the band and play concerts?
Athenscalling.gr: The track ”A.I.” stands out as a powerful statement.
How do you personally view the relationship between artificial intelligence and society today?
Harald Pristauschek(THE ZSA ZSA GABORS): We intentionally let artificial intelligence write the track A.I., and deliberately kept as much of its output as possible.
But without human input—without ideas, interpretation, arrangement, melody—it was nothing more than a skeleton of words and notes. No soul, no story. Just raw data.
To turn AI output into something meaningful, something alive, it takes more than a ChatGPT subscription. It takes people.
Artificial intelligence is a powerful tool—polarizing, fascinating, and potentially dangerous.
We approached it with curiosity and caution, trying to understand why it evokes both fear and admiration.
At its core, AI is just software.
A tool, like Photoshop or a synthesizer. Something you need to learn to use. The original idea behind it—to improve human life—is noble. But as history has shown, humanity has a talent for turning good intentions into something dark and destructive.
This track is our reflection on that tension.
Between creation and control. Between inspiration and imitation. Between human and machine.
Athenscalling.gr: The release is through Mad Butcher Records Germany. How important has this collaboration been for you, and what do you hope audiences around the world will take away from the album?
Matthias Nimpfer(THE ZSA ZSA GABORS): We’re very happy with our collaboration with Mad Butcher Records.
It’s a very renowned label in the punk/Oi! and SKA scene, and we’re really proud to be a part of it.
It’s a kind of seal of approval for us, a confirmation that we’re producing good music. Through the label, we obviously have the opportunity to reach many more people around the world.
Athenscalling.gr: Anything else you’d like to add?
Matthias Nimpfer( THE ZSA ZSA GABORS ) : We’re very excited about the reaction to our new album, “Life’s Routine.”
We think it’s the best album we’ve ever produced, and it’s packed with passion.
We’re already playing a few new songs live, and they’ve been really well-received.
We’re looking forward to getting our hands on the record.
Thanks, Athenscalling.gr,for the opportunity to interview us.
We hope to reach some new Greek punk rock fans!
