Salon Kitty Revue… Burlesque in Vienna!
Salon Kitty Revue is a fascinating spectacle that has enriched Vienna’s burlesque scene for over ten years and has been performed at various venues such as the Stadtkino in the Künstlerhaus, the Schikaneder, and the Cafe Bar Arena.
This show is named after Tinto Brass’ great novel adaptation and presents a wild, daring, and elegant mix of burlesque, boylesque, drag, and cabaret.
The performances are led by the who’s who of the international and local burlesque scene – most notably by the legendary founder and pioneer of Vienna’s burlesque scene, Kitty Willenbruch.
Salon Kitty Revue is Austria’s first burlesque revue and uniquely combines eroticism and humor through the diversity of its performers.
For Kitty, it was her “destiny,” as she says herself. In the early 2000s, she helped a friend organize a party, which included a burlesque show.
That was the moment Kitty discovered her true calling and decided to establish the burlesque scene in Vienna.
Today, she is one of the most well-known and important figures in the scene and has created a unique platform with the Salon Kitty Revue to present the art of burlesque to a wide audience.
Jacques Patriaque is Austria’s first and, to date, only boylesque artist, whom Kitty proudly presents on stage.
International acts are also no rarity at the Salon Kitty Revue, offering the audience the chance to experience the stars of the international burlesque scene up close.
Anyone who has ever been in the audience knows how fun, exciting, beautiful, and incredibly entertaining the show can be.
The Salon Kitty Revue proves that burlesque is a fascinating art that plays with the “pleasure of being an object” and uniquely combines eroticism and humor – all with just a hint of nothing.
