Summer 2016 and in August another FREQUENCY FESTIVAL are extremely dedicated to the world music scene. Τhe holding location of the festival is the beautiful place Green Park St. Polten only 20’ from the center of the town.

The dates of the festival are from 18 until August 20, with great musicians from the world. You could see Many Names of the music scene.

FREQUENCY FESTIVAL is one of the summer music Festival in Europe it was established in 2001. The first year it took place as rather small event featuring six artists on each of the two days of the festival. But today is one of the most important festivals in Europe.

Until 2008, it took place near Salzburg Austria (Salzburg ring), usually every August. In 2009, the Festival moved to St.Polten. It is promoted by one of Austria's national radio stations, FM4 and is generally associated with the alternative part of the genres mainstream music. The lineups accumulate acts of various genres such as rock and hard rock, electronic and hip hop, usually covering great parts of the German and the Austrian alternative ,indie and guitar pop scenes, but also featuring well - known international top-acts.

Last summer in August 2015, Athens Calling Team was there all three days of the festival and really enjoyed a three days music festival with more than 150,000 viewers– spectators , it was an amazing music festival.

Viewers –spectators can listen to music and any time they wants, to taste the amazing foods from canteens located in the festival area and to drink as much beer wants to be careful not to get drunk.

*The Last Shadow Puppets are an English rocksuper group consisting ofAlex Turner (Arctic Monkeys),Miles Kane ( The Rascals, solo artist), producer and drummer James Ford andZach Dawes ( Mini Mansions, session musician).



*Foals are an Englishindie rock band fromOxford, England formed in 2005, consisting of lead vocalist and lead guitarist Yannis Philippakis, drummer and percussionist Jack Bevan, rhythm guitarist Jimmy Smith, bassist Walter Gervers and keyboardist Edwin Congreve. Since the band's formation, their line-up has remained constant.



*Massive Attack are an English trip hop group formed in 1988 inBristol, consisting ofRobert "3D" Del Naja,Grant "Daddy G" Marshall and formerlyAndy "Mushroom" Vowles ("Mush"). Their debut albumBlue Lines was released in 1991, with the single " Unfinished Sympathy" reaching the charts and later being voted the 63rd greatest song of all time in a poll by NME. 1998'sMezzanine, containing "Teardrop", and 2003's 100th Window charted in the UK at number 1. Both Blue Lines and Mezzanine feature in Rolling Stone's list of the500 Greatest Albums of All Time



*Bloc Party are an English indie rock band, currently composed ofKele Okereke (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, keyboards, sampler), Russell Lissack (lead guitar, keyboards), Justin Harris (bass guitar, keyboards, saxophones, backing vocals) and Louise Bartle (drums). Former members Matt Tong and Gordon Moakes left the band in 2013 and 2015 respectively. Their brand of music, whilst rooted in rock, retains elements of other genres such aselectronica andhouse music. The band was formed at the 1999Reading Festival by Okereke and Lissack.



*Coasts is an English rock band formed in Bristol in 2011. The group consists of Chris Caines (Vocals), Liam Willford (Guitar), James Gamage (Bass), David Goulbourn (Keyboards) and Ben Street (Drums). They are most notable for their singles "A Rush of Blood" and "Oceans". "A Rush of Blood" was named Zane Lowe's 'Hottest Record' in October 2014.



*The Temper Trap is an Australian rock band that formed in 2005. The core members are Dougy Mandagi on vocals, Jonathon Aherne on bass guitar, Toby Dundas on drums and Joseph Greer on keyboards and guitar. In 2008, the group relocated from Melbourne to London. The band released their debut album Conditions in June 2009 to favourable reviews and commercial success; it peaked at No. 9 on the ARIA Albums Chart and into the top 30 on the UK Albums Chart. Its lead single, "Sweet Disposition", peaked in the top 10 on theBelgian,Irish and UK Singles Charts and reached No. 14 on the ARIA Singles Chart. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2010 in November, The Temper Trap won 'Best Group' for their album Conditions and 'Most Popular Australian Single' for "Sweet Disposition".



*The Kills are an indie rock band formed by American singerAlison Mosshart ("VV") and British guitaristJamie Hince ("Hotel"). Their first four albums,Keep On Your Mean Side,No Wow,Midnight Boom, andBlood Pressures, have garnered critical praise. Ash & Ice, their fifth and most recent studio album is set to be released on June 3, 2016.



*Damian Robert Nesta "Jr. Gong" Marley (born 21 July 1978), is a Jamaican reggae artist. Damian is the youngest son of reggae legend Bob Marley. Damian was 2 years old when his father died; he is the only child born to Marley and Cindy Breakspeare, Miss World 1976. Damian's nickname Junior Gong is derived from his father's nickname of Tuff Gong. Damian has been performing since the age of 13.



*Manu Chao born José-Manuel Thomas Arthur Chao June 21, 1961) is a Algerian-born musician of Spanish origin. He sings in French, Spanish, English, Italian, Arabic (Algerian dialect), Catalan, Galician, Portuguese and occasionally in other languages. Chao began his musical career in Paris,busking and playing with groups such asHot Pants and Los Carayos, which combined a variety of languages and musical styles. With friends and his brother Antoine Chao, he founded the band Mano Negra in 1987, achieving considerable success, particularly in Europe. He became a solo artist after its breakup in 1995, and since then tours regularly with his live band, Radio Bemba.



*M83 are a French electronic music band led by Anthony Gonzalez and currently based in Los Angeles,California. Formed in 2001 in Antibes, France, the band initially was a duo featuring Nicolas Fromageau. They have released six albums and two soundtracks, including theGrammy Award-nominated Hurry Up, We're Dreaming.



*Haim is an American pop rock band from Los Angeles. The band consists of sisters Este, Danielle and Alana Haim, and drummer Dash Hutton. The group's pop sound on their studio work stands in contrast to the more rock-based music of their live shows.The sisters grew up in a musical family, and began playing instruments from an early age in cover bands with their parents. They began performing as Haim in 2007, but did not seriously consider a professional career for some years. Este graduated with a degree in Ethnomusicology, while Danielle became a successful touring guitarist with Jenny Lewis andThe Strokes' frontman, Julian Casablancas, on his solo tours. This led to Haim resuming as a full-time operation in 2012.



*Bring Me the Horizon are a British rock band fromSheffield,Yorkshire. Formed in 2003, the group currently consists of vocalist Oliver Sykes, guitarist Lee Malia, bassist Matt Kean, drummer Matt Nicholls, and keyboardist Jordan Fish. They are signed to RCA Records globally and Columbia Records exclusively in the US. The style of their early work, including their debut album Count Your Blessings , has primarily been described as deathcore, but they started to adopt a more eclectic style of metalcore on subsequent albums. Furthermore, their latest album That's the Spirit marked a shift in their sound to less aggressive rock music styles.



*Dua Lipa was born in London on 22 August 1995. Her first name "Dua" is an Albanian word which means "love" or "want". Her parents, who are ethnic Albanians fromKosovo, had leftPrishtina in the 1990s. Among the schools she attended was the Sylvia Young Theatre School She moved with her family to Kosovo in 2008, the year the country declared its independence from Serbia. At the age of 15, she moved back to London and lived with friends, because she wanted to build a career in music. She began working as a model at age 16.



*Marcus Füreder (born November 27, 1974 in Linz, Austria) better known by his stage nameParov Stelar, is an Austrian musician, producer andDJ. His musical style is based on a combination ofjazz, house,electro andbreakbeat. He is known as one of the pioneers of electro swing



*Skunk Anansie are a Britishband whose members include Skin (lead vocals, guitar), Cass (guitar, bass, backing vocals), Ace (guitar, backing vocals) and Mark Richardson (drums and percussion).Skunk Anansie formed in March 1994, disbanded in 2001 and reformed in 2009. The name "Skunk Anansie" is taken fromAkannfolk tales ofAnansi the spider-man of Ghana, with "Skunk" added to "make the name nastier".



*Limp Bizkit is an American nu metal band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in 1994. Their lineup consists of Fred Durst (lead vocals),Sam Rivers (bass guitar, backing vocals),John Otto (drums, percussions), and Wes Borland (guitars, backing vocals). Their work is marked by Durst's abrasive, angry lyrics and Borland's sonic experimentation and elaborate visual appearance, which includes face and body paint, masks and uniforms, as well as the band's elaborate live shows. The band has been nominated for three Grammy Awards, have sold 40 million records worldwide and won several other awards



*Wolfmother are an Australian hard rock band fromSydney,New South Wales. Formed in 2000 by vocalist and guitaristAndrew Stockdale, bassist and keyboardist Chris Ross, and drummer Myles Heskett, the group currently includes Stockdale, bassist and keyboardist Ian Peres, and touring drummerAlex Carapetis. Wolfmother released their self-titled debut album Wolfmother in Australia in 2005, and internationally in 2006, which has since sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide and won the band a number of industry awards.



*The Front Bottoms are an American indie rock band that originated inWoodcliff Lake, New Jersey. The band consists of Brian Sella (vocals, guitar), Mat Uychich (drums), Tom Warren (bass) and Ciaran O'Donnell (keyboards, guitar, trumpet). In August 2007, after Brian Sella (vocals, guitar, lyricist) finished his first year of college, he and childhood friend Mathew Uychich (drums) began playing together under the name The Front Bottoms.



*Dub FX , stylised also Dub Fx and DubFx, (real name Benjamin Stanford) is a worldwidestreet performer and studiorecording artist from St Kilda, Melbourne, Australia. At the start of his career he was singing in a local alternative rock and rapcore band initially known as Twitch, which would later change its name to N.O.N (Never or Now). In 2004 they released a debut and the only album Exeunt Omnes. Soon after he moved to Italy and began a solo career. His trademark is creating rich live music using only his own performance aided by Live looping and effects pedals combined with his voice. He creates intricate hip hop,reggae, and drum and bass rhythms.

*** An interview with Harry Jenner ***

When I was meeting for the first time in 2007 with Harry Jenner, I found that I had opposite of me, a man who knew too well his job. Always friendly ready to answer every question, Harry Jenner is the heart, of Frequency Festival , one of the biggest European festivals of Summer. After nine years with great pleasure, we met again Harry Jenner, the heart of a festival.

1.ATHENS CALLING: Harry I'm really glad to meet you again , some months before the beginning of Frequency Festival 2016 . You have to know that Frequency it is the favorite Summer European festival, of the Greek website www.athenscalling.gr

HARRY JENNER : I am deeply impressed and very flattered that Frequency is your favourite festival in Europe. I’m sure the 16th edition will link up to that again.

2.ATHENS CALLING: What was the cause or excuse to get you decided to create festivals?

HARRY JENNER : The cause was that I was a big fan and still am a big fan of major festivals and the excuse was or rather the reason was that there was no big festival in 2001.

3.ATHENS CALLING: Really Harry, how is it ,easy or difficult, to organize a festival, such as Frequency Festival ?

HARRY JENNER : Depends on your experience. J 2001 it was really extremely difficult. 16 years later it’s a lot of work but not so difficult anymore.

4. ATHENS CALLING : What kind of music selected for the festival and what standard ?

HARRY JENNER : If you look at the current line up it’s a very wide range of genres. And I like a big variety like Glastonbury Festivals.

5. ATHENS CALLING : How many people work each year , for Frequency Festival ?

HARRY JENNER : Including red cross, security, all bartenders it’s about 2.000 people

6. ATHENS CALLING : Tell me about the visitors- viewers , of Frequency Fest. how many are they and what ages?

HARRY JENNER : About 140.000 over the weekend, they are all from 16 to 35

7. ATHENS CALLING : What other festivals in Europe choose your preferences and tell us if you know a festival in Greece ?

HARRY JENNER : Glastonbury Festival, Electric Picnic in Ireland and Tomorrowland for the set up, not for the music. I forgot the name of the Greek one, please help me with the name.

8. ATHENS CALLING : Maybe ROCKWAVE or EJEKT and this Summer we have a new one RELEASE IN ATHENS , o.k. Harry …! Have you visited Greece ?

HARRY JENNER : Yes, Athens, Peloponnese, Crete (Paleochora)

9 . ATHENS CALLING : Let us return to your festival and we note the years of Frequency. 2001 until 2016… 16 years of a great musical party and now give us 16 feature words for Frequency Festival .
